The short version

  • Cooper™ is AI. She can be brilliant and she can be wrong. You stay the creator with final say.
  • Your projects are sent to our AI providers only to produce your results, under business terms that don't let them train on your work.
  • You own what you create with the Service as between you and us, but AI-generated material may not be protected by copyright on its own.

A1. How AI is used. The Enhancer and the B-Ville free tools use large language models to read your material and generate assessments, adaptation maps, development notes, drafts, revisions, packaging materials, scores and Cooper™ responses. The Service tells you where AI is used, and you should treat AI-generated material as a draft for your review. We currently use Google's Gemini models, accessed through the Lovable AI Gateway, and may also use Anthropic's Claude models. We may change providers; we will update this Schedule and the provider list in the Privacy Notice when we do, and we will only use providers under terms at least as protective as those described here.

A2. Accuracy and your judgment. AI outputs can be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, generic or biased, and can occasionally resemble existing works. Market, budget, comparable-title, funding and industry information may not reflect current conditions. Review outputs before relying on them, and verify facts, figures, names and rights before you publish, pitch or sign anything. The creator always has first look and final say.

A3. Not professional advice. Outputs about contracts, rights, budgets, financing, tax, guild rules or business structure are general information, not legal, financial, tax, accounting or guild advice, and they don't create a professional relationship. Consult a qualified professional for decisions in those areas.

A4. What you put in. Upload only material you have the right to use. Don't upload passwords, payment card or bank numbers, Social Security or other government ID numbers, medical records, or another person's confidential material that you aren't authorized to share. If you upload someone else's work for adaptation (for example, a book you have optioned), you are responsible for having those rights.

A5. How your content is processed. When you use an AI feature, the relevant part of your project is sent securely to the AI provider to generate your result, and the result is returned and stored in your account. Our providers process it under business terms that do not permit them to use your content to train their models. Providers may keep inputs and outputs for a limited period to detect abuse and keep their systems safe, as their terms describe. Batesville Media does not use Your Content to train or fine-tune AI models. If we ever offer an optional program to improve the Service with user content, it will be separate, off by default, and require your specific opt-in, which you can withdraw.

A6. Who owns outputs. As between you and Batesville Media, you own the outputs generated for your account, and we assign to you any rights we may have in them. Outputs are not exclusive: other users may receive similar suggestions. Under current U.S. Copyright Office guidance, material generated by AI without sufficient human authorship may not be protected by copyright, and prompts alone are generally not enough; your own writing, selection, arrangement and revision of material can be. We don't guarantee that any output is original, registrable or free of third-party rights, so treat AI material as a starting point that you rewrite and make your own.

A7. Limits on use. Don't use outputs as the only basis for decisions about hiring, casting, lending, insurance or anyone's legal rights. Don't present AI-generated material as fully human-written where that would mislead a buyer, contest, festival or guild that requires disclosure; follow the AI rules of any guild, competition or buyer you work with.

A8. Report a problem. Report harmful, infringing or badly wrong outputs with the in-app feedback button or at info@bvillemedia.com.
